On Friday 22/03/2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the first foreign head of state to receive the ‘Order of the True Gyalpo Award’, Bhutan’s highest civilian award. It is a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Government for lifelong service to the people and the country. This is not the first time that PM Modi has been conferred with the highest award abroad.
