Jumping Slam Attack
The Centipede Demon will often jump into Elden Ring Items the air, either to reposition or to slam back down. This move can be hard to read, especially when you’re underneath him, so the best tactic is to run or dodge roll directly away from his landing spot. Once he lands, quickly move back in to continue attacking.
Fireball Slam (Most Dangerous Attack)
His fireball slam is the most dangerous attack in his arsenal. He telegraphs this by gathering a ball of flame in his claw, which he then hurls to the ground, creating a massive blast area. If you’re under him, it’s hard to spot the incoming fireball, but you should watch for the flash of light when he’s about to release it. The best way to avoid this attack is to run directly away from him. Stay at a distance and be ready to dodge or run when you see the fireball being charged up.
Detaching Limbs and Mini Demons
At various points during the battle, the Centipede Demon will stop and shake its body, shedding one of its limbs. This limb becomes a new enemy, and it comes with its health bar. The Demon leaves itself vulnerable during this process, making it an excellent opportunity to deal heavy damage to it. However, once the limb is detached, 1-2 of your party members should turn their attention to the mini demon and eliminate it quickly. These mini demons are far less durable than the Centipede Demon but can cause a lot of chaos if left unchecked, especially if they start running around and attacking at random.
Recommended Strategy
Melee Nightfarer:
Focus your attacks on the feet of the Centipede Demon for easy access to its body. Watch for the stomp attack, and don’t be afraid to back off between strikes to stay safe. Use ailments like Bleed and Frost to cheap Elden Ring Runes deal extra damage over time.
